When asking meanings of success
The answers are not all the same
They vary based on people's goals
Their drive, their values, and their aim
For many, wealth or fame's the plan
For others, love keeps them content
For some, a respectable job
Or for a few, just paying rent
But why choose one if you can just
Put in the time to know yourself
And find the best balance of each
To give you your ideal wealth?
First thing's first: do what you love
Or find ways to love what you do
If where you are won't make you smile
Consider that it's not for you
Secondly, don't be scared to fail
But try and try and try again
Try different things to find yourself
You won't regret the time you spend
Lastly, the part that pays the bills:
Research which hobbies pay you best
When you love what you do daily
That is the best key to success
It is much simpler to prosper
When you enjoy everyday work
The hours fly, as work goes by
And paychecks feel like unearned perks
You put more in and get more out
And recognition heads your way
When work's not work but what you love
And what you would do anyway
Then you'll truly have succeeded
Through all the passion you employ
You can have it all, you see-
The fortune, fame, respect, and joy!
Just a SUUUUUPER quick poem I wrote. Definitely not my best work and not really the best rhyming skill ever utilized but I hope it communicates a point that will at least help someone out there searching for inspiration or direction.
